Yeah, it really is about the kids.

We don't get a lot of robocalls anymore thanks to the fact that we're no longer on a POTS line anymore and the blocklist service included in our VoiP package.  One of the few that still show up are "The Duct Cleaning Service".  I assume that's their "doing business as" name since that's how they always identify themselves when they call (from a local number, I may add).  But we don't talk to them.  We don't interact at all except to note the number and ban it from all future incoming attempts. I mention this because I have no  idea how tonight's bit of foolishness came about. I've been away from this for too long and tonight Daniel inspired me to take up the keyboard again. We were reading in bed, the boys and I, and halfway through one of the books Daniel interrupts — as he is in the habit of doing these days — by telling me exactly what was on his mind at that very moment. Daniel : Dad?  When I grow up I'm going to save the world from bad people who are trying to take over it.  By drawing with markers! I smiled and I told him I had to stop and write that down right away before I forgot it and he jumped  on that idea too: Yeah! You can send it to Mom! I guess he knew he had a winning idea right there.
